Our School

We are a non-profit child care center located at the Edenton United Methodist Church directly beside the Vidant Chowan Hospital and across the street from Burger King.

Our mission here at The Ark is to provide a quality learning experience in a loving, Christian environment for children 6wks-11yrs. In each classroom we feel that it is important to let children learn through hands-on experiences and through play.

Goals

Our goals are as follows:
*To help each child realize that he/she is a Child of God and is valued for their own unique characteristics.
*To enhance each child's physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social development.
*To encourage children to express themselves
*To encourage each child to be an explorer through asking questions and hands-on experiences.
*To encourage each child to interact with adults and children alike.
*TO FEEL SUCCESSFUL!!!

 


We have 4 different classrooms here and they are:
       -Infants (starting at 6wks of age-18 months) - $130.00 a wk./$30.00 a day
       - Toddlers (18mo. - 3yrs.) - $125.00 a wk./$25.00 a day
       - Preschoolers (3yrs. & 4yrs.) - $120.00 a wk./$25.00 a day
       - After School (5yrs. - 11yrs.) - $50.00 a wk./$15.00 a day.

 

We currently have openings in the Infant, Preschool, and After School classrooms.
